Hello. I am new to the forum. My offset post. I am 41. During a GP appointment I mentioned to my GP that I had trouble swallowing intermittently. He quickly refered me for an upper endoscopy. That was three weeks ago. The procedure went well. They took biopsies from proximal, mid and distal positions and some from the stomach. They said at that place were "no lumps or bumps" they thought I could accept Eosinophilic oesophagitis in the distal area. Merely every bit they entered my oesophagus they took a few biospsies equally they said the area didn't look right. The endoscopists and the assistant said the word squamous merely could this simply hateful the lining of my oesophagus they were talking about? As they didn't say they suspected cancer. I notwithstanding haven't had whatsoever biopsy results. Would I take heard by now if there was something sinister? I rang the endoscopy department terminal week (I dont have a gastro consultant) the secretary said the results were on the endoscopists desk and I would get a results letter of the alphabet before long once she looked at them. Am I right in thinking that this is a proficient sign? Pitiful for the rambling mail service.

Welcome to the forum. Unfortunately I don't have any medical expertise then I'one thousand unable to suggest on what this might hateful or most the potential look for results. I would suggest trying not to read too much into what the wait might or might not mean.

Hi
I was diagnosed with stomach cancer in Baronial, i received a telephone call within a calendar week of the endoscopy and biopsies beingness taken asking me to nourish an appointment the next 24-hour interval. In my experience most people receive the results quite chop-chop if it's bad news, my husband waited a good few weeks for his results and all was fine

Hi im 45, had 3yr projectvile vomit had a endscopy 27th february was told that twenty-four hours gastritis non erosive and 6biopsies taken well today i rang told report in on
5th march simply not seen by consultant including 5th an today thats 5days not read......... aforementioned boat equally you lot was told once read ill be wrote too surely if C it wouldnt just be sabbatum at that place

Thank y'all for your reply. Yeah, I was hopefully thinking that if information technology was bad news it wouldnt but be sitting on their desk. The waiting is but horrific. I take left a message over again today to come across if I tin can chase up where they are. I hope your results come up through quick Charlotte.

Hi. Cheers for taking the time to reply. I am sorry to hear your news wasn't expert. I hope that your treatment etc is going as well as information technology can. I experience silly worrying about this when so many of you are dealing with a lot worse.

I've had Endoscopy washed almost four and one-half weeks, 6 biopsy, was very traumatic was supposed to sedated and experienced everything, on acme of that I havent recieved any letters from the infirmary, so I called and asked for results, she said i have to brand you appointment as we recieved a letter, i asked again and then you accept the results she just said yous should of recieved a letter of the alphabet, the doc can requite yous a re-create of the letter from the hospital so i said that information technology must be bad news then she didn't answer.
My systems has gone so i don't no what to think, merely have to wait till tomorrow now even more stress, why don't the doctor call you lot when they get results from hospital, or send a letter, in proper stressing, as they should of contacted me sooner to come up to the surgery???

Do you mind me asking what the endoscopy and biopsy was for? I'thou trying to digger out why my ENT consultant hasn't offered me the biopsy after suffering for 4 months.

Hi my trouble I was vomiting vilanlantly Acrid reflect when lying downwards, I could just eat 2 or 3outhfuls and I was full and in serve hurting, on the peak of my stomach, felt like the food was stuck, then it came dorsum upwardly, I posted a lost of body mass but my weight was 66(10st 4.
I was rushed into hospital with serve aridity and serve food Poisoning, Campylobacter Specie, which I was put on a drip, 2wks later I was given Emergency Endoscopy, the systems has gone, I am eating more only was sick once since then, havent been out of the country so unsure how that happened, only the small amount of eating had been going on for near 2yrs, but got worst just noticed when I losed the body mass, went down to size 10 clothes from size 14.
Hope that have helped a little
I volition no the results today and volition mail the results.

Nope today was a waste of time, the Doctor however havent recieved the results, all they received after I received on the day was verbal copy of what they did, have to wait for letter from hospital or telephone call surgery in 2wks times, the Doc kept maxim no news is good news, I just said that practise non assistance the indicate I havent recieved the results, she then said you can call the hospital, I said will they requite me the results over the telephone she said no so what is the point in me doing your job, the surgery-doctor suposse to hunt up the results, she said well possibly there's a worst patient than you so they are dealing with that, AGAIN that do non give me a answer, it is frustrating I pay into the NHS and it seems they don't really intendance, I was traumatised by the Endoscopy that was bad enough, and now coming up to 4wks, withal no results no medication, just have to look and await and wait, surely it doesn't take that long to bank check the biopsy, I will postal service what the results when it's in. This is so depressing

I honestly feel for yous so much I can't believe they are making you wait even longer! I can't fifty-fifty imagine how annoyed you are. I'g frustrated merely waiting for my next ENT appointment. Stay positive though no news is good news. My doctor told me that If there was anything negative in my results then ordinarily a phone phone call will be fabricated 3-5 days afterwards.

Thank you all for your reply, I empathize no news is adept news, only thing is letting my mind empathize that.
I am just hoping there isn't a backup on testing and they didn't become to mind still, I'chiliad sure there deceit be that many people are tested for the Same thing as me,
Staying positive will update when I get the results.

Ps.will suggest if anyone is going in for Endoscopy do non get the sedation every bit I was sedated and had the spray, and I remember everything, the medication they gave me didn't work, and I am all the same traumatic till this day, if was to have this process done again, they would have to given me a General Anaesthetic. and I will go far clear if the medication hasn't kicked in, I wouldn't want anyone to go through what I did
It can be very disturbing.

Did you e'er get your results? Inhad these exact same symptoms and i tested positive for Cealiac illness.
